The purpose of the National Account Executive position is to generate growth by engaging in lead generating activities, qualifying & connecting with prospects to ask for contracted freight opportunities. National Account Executives will make first contact with a prospect, sell Buchanan Logistics' capabilities and strong service position, collaborate with the Account Manager/Site Director to build bids and track to close the business. Once the prospect is converted to a customer, the customer is then transferred to the Account Manager/Site Director who can begin managing the account and growing Buchanan's relationship and percentage of the customer's freight business. As a key member of the sales team, the National Account Executive is charged with promoting the Buchanan Values of Determination, Integrity, Safety, and Community.
