WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Geary Buchanan, President & founder of Buchanan Hauling & Rigging, Inc., spoke with the Operations & Supply Chain Organization students of Purdue's Krannert School of Business Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
Buchanan shared his personal story having started as a truck driver himself of 24 years. With one truck and two trailers, he had a dream to start a company. In 1996, he did just that and today the company is 300 trucks strong with 1,000 trailers and is known for their dedication to safety, customer satisfaction and driver recognition.
Buchanan introduced Landon Feichter, Purdue Football Captain & 2014 Purdue graduate. Feichter is a Logistics Specialist for Buchanan Logistics, a division of Buchanan Hauling & Rigging. Buchanan Logistics provides truckload opportunities for customers beyond the capacity of the company trucks.
Both Buchanan and Feichter explained the depth of the transportation industry, the endless career options it offers and the tremendous financial opportunity for those willing to invest their time and efforts.
